Lacrosse- Youth, 3rd-8th

Deadline to register- Thursday, March 12
           All registrations after the deadline will be placed on a team if space allows.
          Teams are made on Friday, March 13
     Early-Bird Discount Deadline- Sunday, March 8

          $10 off the listed prices below, if registered and paid prior to March 8
          Discount is taking at the time of check out.
          Offline payments, check or cash, need to be in prior to March 8 to get the Early-Bird Pricing.
     Programs are determined- Tuesday, March 10
          If numbers do not meet the minimum to form a team programs could be combined or cancelled.
     Note:  You must register with the town you reside in first; Hinesburg, Shelburne, Charlotte or Williston, so that the town gets the numbers needed to offer a program.  If they don't get the needed numbers these four towns work together, when they can, to see that every child has the opportunity to play. 


Lacrosse is a fast paced sport that combines the power of football and hockey and the endurance, agility and strategy of soccer and basketball. The program focuses on individual and team concepts in a fun and learning environment.

A minimum number and coach is needed to form a team.  If there is not enough players or a coach to field a team, that program will be cancelled.  Please register early!

Fees: 
     Do NOT include the required US Lacrosse Membership- $30
US Lacrosse Membership: 
     You must renew or purchase a membership for your child each year. 
     Teams are part of the Northern VT Youth Lacrosse League and membership is required. 
     We suggest that you purchase the membership after teams have been formed and a coach is found.

Practices: 
     TBD- days and times are dependent on coach's availability.

        Indoor Practices- begin the week of March 23, and are one day a week at WCS.
         Outdoor Practices- begin late April, and are two days a week at Allen Brook Park.   
            If Williston & Hinesburg combines players to have a team. Outdoor practices could be in either town.

Games:
     Games start in May and go through to mid-June.

        Boys Games- Saturdays
         Girls Games- Sundays
Equipment:
     Players are required to provide their own equipment.
        Boys' Teams-
stick, helmet, gloves, arm pads, chest/shoulder pads and protective gear.

         Girls' Teams- stick & eye mask.
         Mouth Guards- are required for both groups.

Volunteer Coaches Needed:
The lacrosse program continues to grow and the need for volunteers grows along with it. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up when you register your child or if you are a community member contact us to find out how to volunteer.  A Coach's Meeting is set for Wednesday, March 11


Programs:
*3rd-4th Lacrosse
Separate boys and girls leagues are offered, if numbers allow.  They are competitive leagues, which travel.  There is the opportunity to play other teams in the NVYL League.  Volunteers are needed to coach.


*5th-6th Lacrosse
Separate boys and girls leagues are offered, if numbers allow.  They are competitive leagues, which travel.  There is the opportunity to play other teams in the NVYL League.  Volunteers are needed to coach.

*7th-8th Lacrosse
Separate boys and girls leagues are offered, if numbers allow.  They are competitive leagues, which travel.  There is the opportunity to play other teams in the NVYL League.  Volunteers are needed to coach.


Registration Information:
  • All Registrations are done online and there are two payment options.
  • At the end of Checkout you will have the option to pay online or offline.
  • 1. Online Payment Option is with a credit card (A convenience fee of 3.5 % is added). Using this option your balance is paid in full and the person you are registering is enrolled in the programs that you have chosen. Online payment option is available until the deadline.
  • 2. Offline Payment Option is paying with check or cash that can be mailed, use the drop box, or bringing in to the Rec. Office, after registering online.
  • The Offline Payment Option, closes a week prior to the Early Bird Deadline. This is done so that payment reaches us prior to the Early Bird Deadline. To receive the Early Bird Pricing payment needs to be made before that deadline or pricing reverts back to the full amount.
  • NOTE: the person you are registering is not enrolled until payment is received when using the Offline Payment Option.
  • When the Offline Payment Option is closed you can come into the Rec. Office to register and pay with cash or check.
  • Please create a household account prior to coming in if you don't have one already.
  • Don't Wait! Register Early! (A program can be cancelled due to low enrollment).
