Learn Viola: An Introduction to the Viola!
This 6 week class is for beginners with no experience playing the viola. We will start off with basic care and maintenance, and progress to playing simple songs from our method book. The goal of the class is to have fun learning a new instrument. To ensure that the class continues to move forward with new material each week, there is the expectation that students will practice 3-5 days a week for a minimum of 10-15 minutes each practice session. Books will be given out on the first day of class and their cost is included in the registration fee.
Vermont Violins, at the Church Street Market Place, can provide rental instruments at a discounted rate of $30 for the viola and bow + $5 for rosin. This rate is valid for the duration of the 6 week class. Please see their rental contract, or contact Vermont Violins for additional details or questions- (802) 862-0349.
