This is Your Brain on Collage: Happy Accidents & Meaningful Coincidences

In this class we will utilize paint, paper, fabric and transfers to create amazing, intriguing and beautifully layered art. It is the perfect class for those who are already familiar with collage but wish to explore new techniques and achieve different effects.

Also, a great class for artists focused on other media (drawing, painting) yet curious about how to incorporate found images into their work. We will learn to develop interesting surfaces while building a back story for your collage and getting your piece ready for display.

Expand your knowledge of collage making and let your imagination soar in a supportive and friendly environment. Young or old we all have a story to tell, so bring your scissors and tell it through images full of  humor and nuance.

Needed: Please bring scissors, magazines, books (for cutting), miscellaneous art materials found in every home

Instructor: Cristina Clarimon-Alinder, BFA in Painting & Drawing and Masters in Art Education
Bio: Cristina is a recent transplant to Vermont, originally from Madrid (Spain). She believes in the therapeutic aspect of art making and enjoys collage as an art form without constraints or limitations.
