Drama
Come adventure into the wonderful world and characters of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night! Explore all the areas of theatre from acting to creating your own unique sets, props, and colourful costumes. We'll fill our days with laughter and games as we get moving and grooving! This camp will introduce younger ages to the beauty of Shakespeare's stories in an understandable and accessible way. We will dip into a simplified adaptation of Twelfth Night in our explorations. Parents will be invited to a small, informal performance at the end of the week to showcase student's creations in acting and crafts. No previous experience needed, just a willingness to have fun!

Instructor: Lauren Palmer
Bio: Lauren discovered the joy of Shakespeare at age 13 and has been performing, directing, and teaching Shakespeare ever since. In fall 2016, she formed the Hour-Glass Youth Theatre, based in Burlington. She is currently training in Liverpool, UK as an actor. Besides acting and directing, Lauren is a writer and has taught several English classes for homeschool students over several years. In our constantly moving world, she loves bringing the 400 year old stories of Shakespeare to children of all ages!

Camp Notes
  • Final Balance for all camps must be paid in full by June 15, 2018.
  • Camper Info/Health Form must be printed, filled out and returned by June 15- see link below.

  • Parents are invited to a small performance at the end of the week to see what students have been working on.

Camp Registration
  • Registration for camps is done online and there are two payment options; at Checkout you will have the option to pay online or offline.
  • ONLINE PAYMENT OPTION- is with a credit card (A convenience fee of $2 or 3.5 % is added, whichever is higher). Using this options your balance is paid in full and your child is enrolled in the camps that you have chosen. The Online Registration Payment Option, is available until Thursday at midnight, for the next week of camps.
  • OFFLINE PAYMENT OPTION- is mailing or bringing in a check or cash with the receipt that is generated after you register. You can use the option to pay the deposits- $25 per child, per camp, per sessions. Reminder; your child is not enrolled until the deposits are received. The Offline Payment Option, closes the Monday prior to the start date of each camp, 1 week before. This is done so that mailing in payment reaches us prior to the Thursday of that same week.
  • Registration Deadline: registration closes the Thursday prior to that start date of each camp. Fridays are for preparing lists for the next week of camps.
  • Camps are checked one week prior to start date to see if minimum number is met.
  • Your balance can be paid down by sending in payments prior to the due date above. Final balance for all camps is due on this date.
  • Deposits are no longer accepted after the final payment due date.
  • Camp registrations are to be paid in full at the time of registration, after the final due date.
  • Please create a household account prior to coming in if you don't have one already.
  • Don't Wait! Register Early! (A camp could be cancelled due to low enrollment).
