Yoga
Experience your body light, energized, and free of pain. Tao Yin is a deeply restorative practice that draws on centuries-old movements designed to keep the body soft, supple, and strong forever. Sometimes referred to as Taoist Yoga, Tao Yin stretches and strengthens the tendons, deep psoas muscles, and spine. Movements are subtle and gentle but have
surprisingly large positive impacts on the body.

This four week, progressive introductory course covers basic movements and concepts, building towards a holistic practice.

Instructor: Lauren Ballard
Bio: Lauren practiced Therevada meditation and Vinyasa and Bikram yoga for many years before becoming interesting in the Taoist physical arts and meditation practices. In 2015 she traveled to Thailand to study under Taoist grandmaster Mantak Chia and is certified to
teach his opening meditations, Iron Shirt Chi Kung, and Tao Yin systems. In 2016 she attended Oxford University, where she held impromptu Tao Yin classes for her fellow graduate students to relieve the physical stress of sitting hunched over books and computers all day. In 2018 she opened ONTA studio with her husband Zach in order to share what she's learned with her community in Williston.
